10/18/24 - Today is Friday My doctor got my letter yesterday, but I haven't heard anything about my eyes yet. I had my 'Medicare Wellness Physical' on Monday. Not bad. Got 3 vaccinations. Arm is sore. Shouldn't do any work involving my right arm. No housework, etc. That's what the tech told me...... heh, heh. We're on the same page. I'm fighting one infection, but got meds to help and it's going away now. I went to the cardiologist on Tuesday to get the results of my heart monitor test. That went badly. I'm on a beta blocker now to try and get my heart to beat regularly. The top part jumps in too fast. It's a bit over-zealous, to say the least. I have a chemically induced stress test on the 29th because my EKG didn't follow the rules, either. We'll know more after I have that done. I just love those stress tests. They're a lot of fun. Ya'll should try one sometime. Th...

10/12/24 - Sunday I drove to Shreveport Thursday because I had an eye appointment with the Neuro-ophthalmologist at 2 p.m. to discuss the results of my eye MRI. I told David he didn't need to go because I didn't think they were going to dilate me - it was just a follow up appointment. I was wrong. I was there for 3 hours, had numerous tests (some I hadn't had before) and they dilated me. Great. Now I'm in a strange city and can't see squat. I hoped most of it would wear off before I left. I was wrong. I like this doctor a lot. He's straight-forward and up-front. I was hoping he'd say he could remove these lousy, worthless lenses they put in when I had cataract surgery, since my optic nerve wasn't damaged, (as evident in the MRI), and put in some good ones in their place. I was wrong. My vision is 20/40 in my left eye and 20/50 in my right. Good grief. After 18 months, 31 doctor visits, and 5 sur...

10/9/24 Wednesday I bled for a week after my biopsy, and that was a pain in the butt, but I’m all healed up now. It’s still tender there, but that’s all. I had an MRI of my eyes on the 23rd and my optic nerve is not damaged. I see the eye specialist in Shreveport tomorrow and he will explain my options. I saw the back doctor on the 26th and got a couple of injections and got needled again. The injections helped, but the needling didn’t work so well this time. Not sure what I’m going to do about my back next. On the 28th I went to a cancer survivor thing that the Hope Cancer Center invited me to. It was very interesting. I’m glad I went. On October 4, my surgeon at MD Anderson gave me a call and discussed having another MRI. I have a tumor that they’ve been watching , but it’s only seen on the MRI. It has been extremely slow growing in the past, and we have opted to just keep an eye on it. I could have a biopsy that’s MRI guided. It’s kind of a big deal and now that I’...
