It's Friday!  And I have good news!!  Just got home from the doctor and was told my counts are "perfect"!!!  I studied hard last night and it really paid off today!  Passed all my tests with flying colors.  So, I will continue with chemo on Tuesday morning.  Two more sessions with the Red Devil and then I will begin chemo with a new drug called Doxil.  It's usually taken every 2-4 weeks, but I will take it weekly.  They will watch my liver closely with this one.  Lots of potential side effects, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll get them.

And, drum roll please......  I don't have to wear my straightjacket bra at night any more.  If the swelling gets worse, I'll have to put it on, but - finally the sisters will be free at night!  It's been 58 straight days!  Ladies, you just go ahead and try to do that.  I double-dog dare you.  I'll wear it during the day just because I want my appearance to take a little deeper dive, but as soon as I can get rid of all this fluid, I'll be my sexy self once again.  You can bet on that.  I don't have to wear the arm sleeve at night, but I was told to keep it on as long as I can tolerate it during the daytime.

So, for those who have asked, I will have Red Devil on 3/9 and 3/23.  Those are Tuesdays and I will be pretty crappy for those entire weeks, but the second week of each should be tolerable.

No sun out today and it's 54 degrees, so no head-sunning for me.  Perhaps tomorrow.

I really don't mind getting older, but my body is taking it badly..... you?

    Agreed, Patty! We have been working on a tree that was a victim of the first snowfall in January...cutting, burning brush, splitting wood. I can remember 10yrs ago I didn't feel this bad afterward.

  6/16/25 I’m back. By a show of hands, everyone that loves my charts, and patient portals, etc. raise those hands high! Hmmmm, I see none going up. I have sent messages on my patient portal on several occasions and heard nothing back. So, I call the office and leave a message, because you never get a real person the first time. No one calls me back. I think I might drive to the office tomorrow. ….. sigh. On a good note, my ctDNA test came back negative. Hooray! And I go back to MD Anderson in Houston in two months. I have an endoscopy in three weeks. I see my rheumatologist in two days. I need to get my dermatologist to take a look at my head. It’s been five weeks since she cut that open and it still has not healed. It’s still scabby and bloody. So, I still cannot get in the pool. And I have to stay out of the sun.   12/16/24 It's Monday.  Today is my daughter Stacy's birthday.   I was supposed to get my glasses last Monday, then Wednesday, then Thursday - they finally came in.  I was chastised for calling in to get the status when I'd signed up for text messaging, however, I never got a text message.  Ever.  They lied to me 3 times about why they were late.  About why it took 25 friggin' days to get them, etc.  They think nothing about lying to customers at the optical department of Sam's Club.  I dislike them so much that I would be willing to unplug them from life support just so I could charge my cell phone.
