Today is Tuesday and I haven't written for a few days.  Last week was crappy and the weekend was poopy, too.  I figured there was a good chance that they'd put me back in the hospital.  Monday was a bit better and today I'm feeling almost normal again.  Too bad it's going to be short-lived because I have chemo tomorrow morning at 9:20 a.m.  Sigh.

Only 2 more treatments, people!!!

If I were feeling sexy, I could bat my eyelash at someone.  Get that?  My eyelash.... singular....

Who knows how long that one will hold on.  Want to place any bets?  My eyebrows are no better off.  I think I have 3 hairs on one side and 5 on the other, but I've forgotten, to tell you the truth.  You'd think I could count that high and remember it, right?  Uh, no.

I got in the pool yesterday evening with David.  I got on my new huge noodle I got for Mother's Day and kicked around the pool in the shade.  My back didn't hurt and at least I got a little exercise.  My toenails got clean, too.  Ya'll needed that little bit of info, didn't you?  The water felt wonderful and I think I'll give it a go in a little while, too.  When we got out of the pool at 7:00 p.m. we were wondering what to do about dinner.  David went into the garage and there was spaghetti and toasted bread sitting by the door.  The neighbor had brought us over dinner.  Again.  Boy, oh, boy, were we ever grateful!!  What perfect timing!  We have such wonderful friends and neighbors, I just cannot express my gratitude enough.

I learned some stuff that might be of interest.  It takes approximately 2 months to recover from chemo for every 1 month of treatment.  That's 10 months for me.  Sounds horrid, right?  But, wait!  There's more!  It can take up to 2 years for chemo brain to get better.  So, friends and family, don't expect me to calculate your square footage or answer any questions that involve long-term memory in the near future.  Or short-term, for that matter.  Well, it's OK to ask - I can just make something up.  I'm good with that, if you are.
