It's Monday.  I haven't written for a week.  I know, I know.  My bad.  I don't have much to write about even now.  We took Courtney and Warren camping last week and had a blast.  No internet.  Lots of smores.  Good times.  I couldn't go hiking, but I went fishing a bit.  I wish my back were better than it appears to be, but they said they wouldn't even program it for 6 weeks.  Again, I still have no patience.  David and I will be leaving next week for Key West so that we can catch our yacht to go sailing.  Heh, heh.  I'm SO excited about that trip!  I will be able to get in the water by then, so I'm taking snorkel gear for sure.  I don't know how much walking I will be able to do while in Key West, tho.  My back isn't that grand yet.  I did have a major breakthrough today, tho.  I put clean sheets on my bed without taking a break to sit down.  That hasn't happened in a very long time.  Now, I'm not saying my back didn't hurt.  I wanted to sit down, but I was determined to complete my task without a break.  And I did it.  I promptly went to find David so I could brag.  However, he didn't realize I couldn't do it in the first place, so that was a bummer.  Oh, well.

We're expecting some truly nasty weather tonight so we've put away lawn furniture, etc., outside.  The sky is looking quite angry and we've received tornado reports already.  We're in the red zone for quite awhile, so that's not good.

This past week I learned that 5 year olds can contribute a great deal to sleep deprivation even when their mother is also visiting.  I didn't realize how tired I was until they left yesterday.  I told David I was going to take a nap and I woke up 4 hours later, and that was only because the phone rang.  Holy cow.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary Saturday.  It's hard to imagine being married this long.  Doesn't seem like it.  I'd do this all over again, for sure.  I've had a good life.  I chose well.  And he thinks he's the lucky one....

Speaking of marriage....

David and I were sitting in the den last night and he was flipping through channels like always.  I asked him what was on the TV.

He said, "Dust".

He'll be out of intensive care in a few weeks......
