It's Wednesday.  I just started typing this and something ran across my bare foot.  I checked under my desk, but saw nothing.  Felt like a spider.  Of considerable size, of course.  Now I want to leave my office, but I'm gonna tough it out.  It was a gorgeous day today, but I didn't get to spend much time outside.  I'm trying to get everything caught up inside.  I don't know why I expend so much effort into that, because it's never gonna happen.

My oncologist advised me to get my fourth friggin' COVID vaccination, so I've got an appointment next Tuesday.  Gads.  Is this never going to end?!?  I have an appointment in town tomorrow to get my spinal stimulator programmed.  I have high hopes that this will improve my shituation.  I can stand for about 20 minutes now, but after that, I start to crumble.  I had to wait this long to get this done while my back healed.

I have a few minor side effects from my new meds, but they're not bad.  It's been 1-1/2 weeks now, so I'm hoping things stay this good.

Stacy is coming to visit May 7-10, and I'm really looking forward to her visit.  Since she moved to Georgia, we don't get to see her near as often.  Then, May 14-21, I'm flying to Idaho to visit my little brother, Kurt, and the rest of my extended family.  It's so nice to have stuff to look forward to.  We have to stay in town most of June because that's when my next scans and doctor appointments are happening.

For Heaven's sake!!!!  That was a spider and it just bit me between my toes.  I smashed it with my finger.  Ugh!  Now it itches.  Good grief.

The pool is uncovered and the chemicals are correct.  It looks blue and inviting, but it's only 74 degrees.  I didn't get to get into it last summer because I was in Houston and/or sick.  This summer will be different.  Come join me, but heed the sign on the fence before you open the gate.  It is hung outside the gate sometimes.  It reads: "Possible skinny dipping in progress.  Holler before entering."  I should have added "Or you get what you pay for", when I made it.  I wasn't thinking.

Because of COVID, last year for the first time since 1945, the National Spelling Bee was cancu... cancil..... cansel...

It was called off.

For all you working stiffs, here's a tip of the day:  Blow on the wine in your coffee mug to convince everyone in your zoom meeting that it's tea.
