It's Saturday and I'm baaaa-aaack!  Did you miss me?  I had a wonderful time on our vacation, but I don't think David will do it again.  He just doesn't know how to do 'nothing'.  He has to be doing something all the time.  Like cleaning the hull of the boat.  Yes.  He did that.

We spent 3 days in a room above a rum bar in Key West on Duval Street.  It's a lot like Bourbon street in New Orleans, but without the beads during Mardi Gras.  Lots going on.  Lots of music.  Lots of rum.....  I liked it.  It was the cutest little room.  Very old, unique.  We walked and walked and I did pretty well.  There were lots of places for me to sit down and rest.  We got an Uber from the airport to downtown and never did have a car there.  We rented a moped one day (guess who's idea this was?) and rode all over the place.  Next time, I'm getting my own.  Geez, it was hot behind the driver.

After 3 days doing the touristy thing, we got another Uber out to the catamaran.  It was on the east coast and the water was simply gorgeous there.  The first night we anchored in an area with tons of No-see-ums and we got chewed up.  Big time.  Made the rest of the trip a bit uncomfortable because we had over 200 bites on each of us.  Itchy!  Whew!  I still look like I have Leprosy after a week!  David's are hidden more because he's so hairy.

I put sunscreen on multiple time a day, but the snorkeling did me in.  My back is crispy/crunchy.  I stayed in the shade as much as possible, wore my hat, etc., but the water beckoned me too much!  David was too long for our berth on the boat.  Our bed was 6' long, but he's 6'2".  All the doorways were just fine for me, but he cracked his head about a zillion times.  He has bumps all over his head from that.  Cracks me up.

I learned that David is afraid of sharks and barracudas while snorkeling.  He thinks they stalked him.  I didn't care too much for the sharks, but the barracuda didn't bother me.  I chased them away.  They gave him the creeps.  We saw lots of stingrays.  Lots.  Huge ones!  I never tired of finding them.  We found tons of lobsters, too.  Lobster season ended 3/31, so we couldn't catch them.  Too bad.  We could have feasted every night!  The barracuda would swim up to us and just stay there and stare.  If we moved, they moved.  It did seem as though they were stalking us, but they were only waiting to see what we would kill, so they could clean up the scraps..... or so I was told..... David is reading about barracuda attacks tonight, trying to confirm they were going to kill us.

We had an unexpected storm the first night, but we were anchored in a tiny bay that gave us protection, so it wasn't too bad.  We were rocking, tho!  A 54' catamaran that was nearby didn't fair so well.  It got washed up close to shore and got stuck.  We watched a barge, with a huge crane on it, lift it completely out of the water and haul it off after 2 days of trying other methods.  Those poor people.

If I write everything tonight, ya'll will be bored, so I'm gonna save some stuff for tomorrow.  Besides, I'm pooped.  We got back late last night and we worked all day today.  I'm ready for a glass of wine and some Netflix.
