5/28/22 Update: David came home, lifted up his chair, the snake dropped out, he yelped and jumped sky-high. Turns out they used a big strip of different fabric that looked like snake skin to tie the back of the chair. It had all come loose. No snake. We had a good laugh, tho.....

5/28/22 Today is Saturday. I should have written earlier, but I just didn't. I went to the pulmonologist on Tuesday and passed my breathing test. He didn't find any issues with my chest x-ray, either, but he said he really can't see too much in those. I told him I'm having an MRI in a week or so, so he was good with that. Then they sprang a pop quiz on me. I had no time to study and I considered it a cheap shot. I was monitored during a 6-minute walk, however, I couldn't finish and only walked 5 minutes. My hips gave out and I nearly dropped. He poked around my hips and I wanted to slap him. He said I had syxhigihnahod bursitis. (I could only read the word 'bursitis' on the note.) He told me to go see my internist to get some injections. I did that on Thursday. She said she'd call an orthopedic surgeon and get me an appointment for the injections. They don't sound like much fun, ...

5/22/22 Today is Sunday. I'm pretty sure. Holy Moly, I've been confused the past day or so. First, let me say, I had an absolutely delightful trip to Idaho this past week. I saw everyone I wanted to see, got updated on relatives, and got many, many wonderful hugs. I wore my pressure suit twice a day, every day, and did pretty well. The stairs were challenging. I'm sure my brother and his wife could always hear me coming by the sound of my breathing, and my hips and knees complained, but it was SO worth it!! Yesterday morning I wasn't feeling very well and was up at 4:45 a.m. I couldn't go back to sleep, so just got up and wore my suit and then packed my suitcases. When everyone else got up, I was already finished. We visited the rest of the morning and they took me to the airport at 11:00 a.m. I sat and sewed in the airport and the time went by fairly quickly until boarding time. My flight was delayed, so I sewed s...

5/12/22 Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. It was my sister, Phyllis', birthday. She would have been 75, but she died when she was 67. They found cancer at age 65. Same as me. It doesn't seem like it, but it's been just over 7 years. I sure do miss her. She was my best friend and I'm sad today. Can't seem to get her out of my mind. I need to perk up, though, because I have a card party to attend tomorrow evening and then I leave home at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning for the airport. I'm going to Eagle, Idaho, to see my brother. It's a suburb of Boise and they're having a cold snap. They had snow just a couple of days ago and the water temperature of my pool is 88 degrees. It's hot here. I'll be jumping in the pool pretty soon, as a matter of fact. I'll be home on the 21st, and will be available to receive guests/visitors if you want to put that date on your social calendar. I have lots of doctor visits and...

5/5/22 This is Thursday. I haven't written for awhile because nothing has been newsworthy. That's my excuse, anyway. I was informed I have a few followers that look for my blog every day. I was incredulous that some of you cared that much. It was humbling, to say the least. If not that, they don't have a life.... I'm not sure which. 47 years ago, I had a wonderful roommate and very, very good friend. That friend visited me this week and I was sooooo very happy to see her. They spent the night and I was very sad to see them go. Stacy is flying home in a couple of days from Georgia and will stay until Tuesday. I'm sooo looking forward to seeing her again. We haven't seen her since Christmas, so we have some catching up to do. Then, on the 14th, I'm flying to Idaho to see my little brother for a week. I'll be home on the 21st. David is going to work on the house while I'm gone. It'l...
