Well, it’s been a week since I’ve written. Stacy didn’t get to come visit this week because one of her employees was out with the flu. She couldn’t leave her store. Maybe next week.

David has gone to the A&M football game this weekend. They’re playing Mississippi. He’s there with his old college buddies for the weekend. I hope he has a wonderful time. He took the RV and left in the middle of a thunderstorm. Not a good day to travel towing an RV. It’s raining cats and dogs here today and the thunder is booming. It’s going to continue on into the night tonight.  We needed the rain, but we don’t need all of the wind and lightning to go with it.

I am gradually getting over most of the side effects of my medication.  I see my oncologist on Wednesday. She doesn’t know I have stopped taking it, so we’ll see how that goes. I’ll have my blood work first, then see her.

20 minutes after David left today, I got in my car to go pick up my groceries. I use curbside pick up at the grocery store, so I don’t go in. One of my tires was flat. Well, not all the way flat. I had 3 pounds of pressure in it. So, I was only short 30 pounds or so.  David had already unhooked everything from the air compressor, so I had to hook everything back up again and that proved a bit difficult. I could not get the attachment on the hose and was getting totally frustrated. After about 20 minutes, I finally had everything together and filled my tire. The other three were a bit low, also, so I filled them, too. By this time, I was a ball of sweat. I drove through the thunderstorm to the store and they loaded up my groceries in the rain. I unloaded as soon as I got home and was hoping it was 5 o’clock somewhere.  I’ll have to figure out what to do with that tire tomorrow. I’m not going to go check it in the pouring down rain.  I looked at the radar and the storm was getting worse. All the memories of Oklahoma on May 3 in 1999, raided my brain.  We had 72 tornadoes in that one single day and they still haunt me to this day.  David was already in Texas then and I was still living there with the two girls. It was horrible.

Clearly, it had to be 5 o’clock somewhere, so I got out the peach schnapps.

Y’all know Murphy’s Law: if something can go wrong, it will. But, do you know Cole’s Law? It’s…… Shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, maybe some carrots.

I watched the news and Joe Biden was on. I was glad I had the schnapps by then. He is not half the man that Michelle Obama was.

Sorry. I couldn’t help myself.
