Today is Monday. We had a wonderful time camping and got back in time to host 10 for Thanksgiving dinner the next day. Our house was full and it was delightful. I love having the kids home and all the games we play together. Everyone was gone by Sunday and the house seemed awfully quiet. They helped us move beds and get all the Christmas decorations out of the attic before they left. I even had help putting some stuff up. It was wonderful! We got the outside lights up yesterday and tweaked them today. My house is truly festive now. David and I bought a new bed and it should be delivered on Wednesday. We moved beds around so that our 4th bedroom got converted from junk room to junk room/guest room. We now have 3 guest bedrooms, so people - come visit.
My nephew and his family were flying in from Alaska and were scheduled to arrive today and stay for a week. I was really looking forward to their visit, but they all caught the flu. That ended that visit. I hope they can reschedule sometime soon.
We will be leaving this coming weekend for Houston. I have several appointments at MD Anderson on Monday, so we will be staying with Courtney and hopefully catch our 6 year old grandson's Christmas program a few days afterwards.
My back is really acting like a buggar and it's made decorating and moving furniture a royal pain. LIterally. My hips are asking for a couple more injections and I'm trying to make that appointment, too. I'm feeling much better without the cancer meds in my system and haven't had to wear my pressure suit for over a week. However, it's starting to look like I may have to break down and put it on this evening. I'm pretty swollen. Poop.
I made myself some eggs for breakfast this morning. An omelette, actually. I seasoned the eggs with sugar, oil and some chocolate and then added a little flour for texture.
Ok. It was a cake. I had cake.
Today was laundry day. Lots of towels and stuff after company leaves.
Washing - 30 minutes.
Drying - 60 minutes.
Putting away - 7 to 10 business days.
