Today is Thursday. I called my ENT office for 6 days and no one returned my calls. Is that idiotic, or what? Anyway, after physical therapy yesterday, I drove to the office to make an appointment. They have all my records and it would take forever to get in to see a new guy, so I'm really trying here. The Urgent Care dude said I needed to see my ENT guy, so I walked in the door. It was lunch time, so no one was there to here me gripe, but I got an appointment for this afternoon at 3:30 to see the audiologist and then the doctor on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. So, I have to go another weekend with hurt. Sigh. I'm going to speak to the office manager this afternoon, you can bet your booty on that. My ear is no better. At all.
I have to have another MRI. I heard back from MD Anderson and they said the one I had up here doesn't show enough. Figures. I should have learned my lesson 2 years ago and just waited for an appointment in Houston in the first place. I could get in here the same week, so I opted to do that. Big mistake, in hindsight. Anyway, I still don't know if I need a biopsy until I have another one and it's scheduled for February 10th at 8:00 a.m. So, we'll go down t Courtney's on the 9th and spend the night with her so I can be at the med center downtown the next morning. They won't do it in Katy, where I usually go. They said I have to be at the main campus in the hospital.
Pearland had a tornado 2 days ago and Courtney and family were hiding because it was heading for them. Thank goodness it ended up about a mile away, but then it headed towards Ryan's office. They lost power and it passed by very near there, also. Geez. Ryan's first day at his new job was memorable, to say the least.
My little brother has been in the hospital and I sent him a get well card. I hope he doesn't read this post until he gets his card because it was full of advice. I gave him definitions of some medical terms.
Like these:
Bacteria: The backdoor to the cafeteria.
Barium: What you do if CPR doesn't work.
Urine: Opposite of 'yer out!'.
I'm sure he'll appreciate my effort in his healing process.
