Today is Wednesday. I've had two PT appointments this week for my right foot. Perhaps she can help me. My podiatrist sent me to her because he can't figure out what's wrong. I've broken it several times, but I've had x-rays and they can't find anything wrong with it. It's tender to the touch on the outside of the foot and I cannot stand or walk for very long. It's been hurting since last May or June. I can't remember. They checked for cancer in the bone and found nothing. I did do something remarkable a few days ago..... I walked around the block. I took a friend, just in case I needed help, but I made it by myself. I'm not saying I didn't stop 5-6 times, but I made it all the way back to the house. It's .7 miles. Hooray!
We still have Courtney's dog that we've been dog-sitting for the past 3-4 weeks. We're taking her back home tomorrow when we go to Houston for my appt. I'm mentioning this because I had an incident yesterday that scared me a bit. I imagined having to call Courtney, who's on vacation, and telling her I poisoned her dog. I dropped a full bottle of blood thinners on the kitchen floor. A full bottle without a lid..... OMG. They went everywhere! They are so tiny. Itty-bitty maroon triangles that blend in all too well to the tile. Like tiny, little doggie treats..... I scanned the floor on my hands and knees for a long time, fearing I had missed some. That dog eats anything on the kitchen floor. Sucks it up like a Hoover. I tried to get her to stay a safe distance away, and she sat and stared and drooled. All the time, I was sweating bullets that she'd find one before I could collect them all. Of course, I dropped them in front of the back door, so I couldn't put her outside while I collected the little gems. Nope. Shhhh.... don't tell Courtney.
My ear is getting better each day. It still hurts a bit, but nothing like previously. I'm good.
Note: My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I'm right.
Go ahead. Try me.
Fun Fact: Did you know that George Strait once asked me out?
I was in his room.
