It's Monday, but I don't have much to report.  I do have some good news:  I got my night guard from the dentist and I haven't had an earache in the past 5 days.  Cross your fingers....

I've been a tad under par this week.  Very tired.  I can sleep most of the day if the phone allows.  We had a storm blow through a few nights ago and the next day I spent 2-1/2 hours picking up fallen limbs out of the yard.  And, it was very hot.  I didn't want to take a break and cool off because I knew I'd never go back out.

David has been in Houston and came home last night.  He missed the power outage we had a few days ago.  That wasn't much fun in this heat, either.

My infection seems to be clearing up a bit, but I just can't seem to totally get rid of it.  I'm too impatient, I reckon.  The pool was a disaster after that last storm, but I got it cleaned up pretty good.  It was 94 degrees, but dropped a couple since the storm.  I'll bet this afternoon it'll be up there again.  It's supposed to hit 100 today, and for the next 4 days.  With the humidity, the heat index is killing me.  I don't want to even go out to the mailbox.

I have everything ready for my trip to Dallas on Wednesday.  That's when I see the retina specialist.  I'm a bit nervous.  I truly dislike people poking around in my eyes.  My vision is no better.  I need them fixed so that i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Right now, my tunnel could use a new bulb.

One of my cousins died last week, but I just found out about it a couple of days ago.  His name was John.  I was terribly sad.  Ya'll are going to miss him, even tho you might never have met each other.  He used to send me jokes.  Good ones.  I spoke to him all day when I was picking up limbs.  No one was around, and I'm sure it appeared as tho I was talking to myself, if I were seen.  I didn't care.

We got over 1-1/2 inches of rain with that last storm, so the grass is like a jungle again.  I'm not allowed to mow yet because I have to stay away from dust, etc.  My eyes haven't healed yet.  So, David gets to mow today.  He just got home and I'm sticking him on the lawn mower.  Welcome home!

I can't read what I write on this laptop.  I have to hold it really close to my face when I'm done typing, find the mistakes, then set it down again and try to fix them without quite seeing what I'm doing.  It's great.

I'm trying to remember that my present situation is not my final destination.  The best is yet to come.  When my time comes, and I go Home, I'll be able to see just fine.

David asked me why I married him.  I told him it was because of his sense of humor.  He said he thought it was because he was good in bed.  I said "See! You're hilarious!"
