Whew!  What a week I've had.  I was terribly sick.  I usually just say I've been a bit under par, but this past week warrants a full confession.  David was at the ready to take me to the ER, but I didn't want to go.  The last time I was there they couldn't wait to shove me out the door and were so rude.  That left a foul taste in my mouth and now I don't like them.  In hindsight, yes, I should have gone.  However, I survived (so far) and am recovering at home.  I got an infection in my upper left torso and swelled up like a hot air balloon.  Boy, did it hurt.  Gads.  Headache from Hell.  Low grade fever.  Then came diarrhea and dry heaves all night.  I can't throw up, but the dry heaves are horrid.  My stomach was churning and I got no relief from the heaves.  I sure wish my esophagus was not a one-way street sometimes.  Then, the pain went around to my back, but not like my regular back pain.  This was something new and I was in a world of hurt.  I didn't think I could take much more.  I've been sleeping around 18 hours a day since then.  So tired.  I'm wearing a compression top in hopes of getting more swelling to go down and I'm no longer sick to my stomach.  I haven't eaten much, tho.  I have a lot of gas in my stomach, which is uncomfortable, but I AM getting better.  I've lost 6 lbs this week.  The headache comes and goes.  I haven't stepped foot outside in 5 days, at least.

I have my last infusion on Wednesday morning, so I've got to get better.  No more.  I'm done.  Perhaps I'll pop a cork Wednesday night.

Courtney and Warren are driving up this afternoon and will spend the week with us.  Stacy and Keith left a few days ago.

Sorry this post is so depressing.  Just a bad week for me and I'm not quite over the hump yet.
