Holy Cow.  I can't believe I haven't updated this thing in so long.  Today I have my font so large on my monitor that i can only see 5 or 6 words at a time.  I'll explain in a bit.

First, on 10/19, I had the 'colonoscopy from Hell'.  I have to go back.  I still have colitis and have had for the past several years.  I don't care any more.

Then, on the 25th, I went to my ophthamologist.  Shoot.  I know that's not spelled right, but I can't see squat.  I went to the eye doctor.  He said my right eye wasn't healed enough from my last surgery to have another, so we scheduled just my left eye.  My vision has not changed.  It's still 20/50 in my left eye and 20/60 in my right.

Friday, 11/3, I had PRK on my left eye.  He said it would take longer to  heal and hurt a little more, but he thought it would be a better route to take than Lasik.  My follow-up was the next day.  I'm healing nicely and will go back on Wednesday to have it looked at again and he will take out my contact lens that day.  It's like a band-aid for my cornea.  I was awake the entire time he took the top layer of skin off my cornea and he talked to me the whole time, too.  He kept telling me what he was doing.  To tell you the truth, the worst part was taking the tape off my face at the end.  They gave me Adavan or Atavan, or something like that before he started and when I got home, I slept the rest of the day.  I wear an eye protector at night and have 4 different drops to put in my eye at different times of the day.  One of them I will have to take for the next month.

I'm done with doctors (I hope) until I go down to MD Anderson the first week of December.  David and I have plans to take the RV out for awhile beginning next week.  I hope I can see better by then.  I can't read the newspaper yet, even with my 'cheaters'.

I'm not going to even think about checking this post for typos.  It would take me all dang day.  No jokes today cause I can't see to find my stash.

1/10/25 It's Friday.  2025.  Holy cow.  When I was a kid, I thought in 2025 we'd be living in space or something and robots would be our maids.  Like Rosy, on the Jetsons.  This is gonna be a nutshell post: I had several doctor appoints since I last wrote.   6/16/25 I’m back. By a show of hands, everyone that loves my charts, and patient portals, etc. raise those hands high! Hmmmm, I see none going up. I have sent messages on my patient portal on several occasions and heard nothing back. So, I call the office and leave a message, because you never get a real person the first time. No one calls me back. I think I might drive to the office tomorrow. ….. sigh. On a good note, my ctDNA test came back negative. Hooray! And I go back to MD Anderson in Houston in two months. I have an endoscopy in three weeks. I see my rheumatologist in two days. I need to get my dermatologist to take a look at my head. It’s been five weeks since she cut that open and it still has not healed. It’s still scabby and bloody. So, I still cannot get in the pool. And I have to stay out of the sun.   12/16/24 It's Monday.  Today is my daughter Stacy's birthday.   I was supposed to get my glasses last Monday, then Wednesday, then Thursday - they finally came in.  I was chastised for calling in to get the status when I'd signed up for text messaging, however, I never got a text message.  Ever.  They lied to me 3 times about why they were late.  About why it took 25 friggin' days to get them, etc.  They think nothing about lying to customers at the optical department of Sam's Club.  I dislike them so much that I would be willing to unplug them from life support just so I could charge my cell phone.
