 Later.... They said it would take 3-5 business days to get the results of the biopsy, but my results just came in. It's benign!!
 P.S. I forgot to mention that the hematologist told me he hadn't had any patients that have had 8 pulmonary embolisms.  No one made it that far.  He said I was one lucky woman.
  9/13/24 Today is Friday the 13th.  I was informed I had cancer on Friday the 13th.  I don't think anyone can forget where they were or what they were doing when they got the call, or were told in person.  That memory is permanent.  Sorry, didn't want to start with a downer, but sometimes it's beneficial for your mental health to share stuff on your mind.  Now I'm good to go - so here goes... I broke my little finger in my accident last week and it's giving me grief.  How can such a tiny finger hurt so much?  It's a bugger.   David took me down to Houston on Tuesday and we stayed with Courtney.  I had an appointment with a hematologist Wednesday afternoon that was supposed to take 1/2 hour.  2 hours later, I'm done.  They took my vitals, then I went back and another nurse asked a zillion questions.  Then the doctor came in and did his thing and then he said another doctor would come in to see me next.  Uh, ok....
9/1/24 - Sunday I wish this was April 1st instead of September 1st.  That way I could write this whole post and then say 'April Fools!"  But I can't. I went to Houston on Thursday morning and stayed with Courtney so I could make my 8 a.m. appointment at MD Anderson on Friday morning.  Drove through a really crappy rainstorm and was very glad to pull into her driveway.  Just a few minutes after I arrived, it hit her house.  I drove by myself this time because David went to the A&M game.  I had a mammogram at 8 and they made me stay for a second session.  An 'enhanced' version.  At 9, I had an ultrasound and the doctor came in and told me I needed a biopsy because they found some calcifications.  Apparently, they are only visible with mammograms and not ultrasounds or MRI's.  I had a mammogram 8 months ago that showed nothing, and the biggest one is now 1.3 centimeters.  They told me all about them and said they were more common i...
