Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
I waited too long to post, I know, but I've been busy. Courtney and family are moving back here and come up often to house-hunt, so my house is full and I often go with them. I go to pool therapy every Monday and Wednesday now to try and help my back and hips. I had my records sent to a new eye doctor and saw him on the 14th. He told me I now have astigmatisms in both eyes, which was a bit disconcerting, to say the least. He gave me a prescription for glasses, but they haven't come in yet, so I'm still blind as a bat. My old eye doctor refunded all the money I spent there and I walked away. We attended a birthday party on the 16th, here in Flint and a surprise party on the 23rd in Dallas. That was pretty fun, I gotta tell ya. On the 27th, I got two hip injections to try and help my bursitis, but they're still pretty dang sore, so I've been sitting and icing those. We're going to Ryan's family house for turkey today. We're taking several dishes - including the turkey.
Next Friday, 12/6, I go back to the cancer center for my 3 month ct/DNA kit blood testing. This is the big one, so prayers are welcome. I will go back to MD Anderson the first week of January to have another MRI to see if my current tumor has grown any. David and I are going on a cruise in January, so I'm hoping they see absolutely no growth.
Warren is out of school this week, so they've been up here the whole week. It's been busy. Busy-nice. They're all running in the Turkey Trot this morning and I'm in charge of the turkey on the Traeger till they get home.
I still don't have any results from my sleep study, and it's been 3 weeks. How long does it take? Good grief. I reckon I'll have to call them myself. My glasses are supposed to be ready tomorrow at Sam's Club, but I'm not venturing into that place on Black Friday, so that'll have to wait till Monday, for sure. I'd probably shoot someone....
Both Stacy and Jessica (and their sweethearts) will be home for Christmas, so the house will be rockin' once again.
My toaster caught on fire, so I reckon that's gonna be placed on my Christmas list. At least nothing else burned in the process. Speaking of fire.... David just bought himself a new toy. It's a miniature flame thrower thingy that he's using to hasten the fire-building process in the backyard pit. He thought it would be a good idea to test it the other night while sitting in his recliner in the den. Of course, he'd had a few glasses of wine prior to that brilliant idea. He turned that thing on and I about flew out of my chair. Scared the hoo-dinkies out of me. Needless to say, I emphasized my objection and he turned it off, ego-defeated. Good Lord.
I could hear it now "Uh, Ma'am, how did your house catch on fire?"
Me: "Flame thrower in the den."
