Well, it’s been a month now and my right leg still hurts like a booger. My legs are swollen and now it’s turning red and purple. I went back to the cardiologist and he said that apparently, my body does not like the foam that they put in my vein. It is all very irritated. I had an ultrasound, and the vein is completely closed up. That part is good. However, he said I had phlebitis and to take one ibuprofen in the morning and one in the evening. I’m not supposed to take ibuprofen because I’m on Eliquis, however, he said that small of a dose won’t affect it. So I’m doing that.  I also keep it elevated whenever I can and put a heating pad on. That seems to make it feel better. I have yet to notice any difference in the discoloration, though.

After that appointment, I went to my oncologist. I had the CT/DNA blood test done. That’s the one where they draw about 23 gallons of blood out of me and send it off to be tested. I should hear something back next week. My CBC wasn’t so great, though. My white blood count is dropping and now they say I have leukopenia. That simply means my white count is low and I have a hard time fighting stuff off. I’m supposed to stay away from animals, sick people, and crowds. However, I hosted a Christmas party last night at our house. No one was sick, though. We’re leaving Monday to go to Las Vegas, too. I made those reservations a long time ago and I’m not changing them. They sent me two tickets to the national finals rodeo and I fully intend on being there. We will be home Friday night.

I’m supposed to wear compression stockings when I fly, but my leg is too big to get my compression stockings on! Even if I did get that thigh high stocking on, it would be the tightest right across my vein, which is so very tender to the touch. Maybe I can get my compression knee socks on.   I’ll give it my best shot.

I’ve been asking the same riddle to everyone at Christmas for the past 25 years. Does anyone remember it?

What do you call Santas helpers?

Subordinate clauses.
