Monday, March 16

Can everyone say “hallelujah”? Go ahead! Say it again! My scans arrived from Las Vegas! My oncologist has them and is looking them over. What a fiasco that turned out to be.

I had a little surgery on my back this morning. I had a melanoma removed. I have 12 stitches and I am icing it 20 minutes every hour all day long today. Stitches come out in two weeks. I have to change the bandage every day. However, when I say “I“, I mean someone else. Because I can’t see it, let alone reach it to change a bandage.

I cannot seem to control my cough, which is getting very, very deep. I have a drainage, so this may be allergies. Even though, I’ve never had them before. I guess there’s always a first time.

It’s a Monday, and they cut a hole in my back, but I am feeling cheerful today. My records came in, it looks like she got all the cancer, and it’s a beautiful day. So, today is a good day. I’ve been angry enough at the records department of the hospital in Las Vegas. I wasted my minutes being angry when they could’ve been happy minutes. No more! Only happy minutes now.
