12/10/25 Thursday First of all, good news. My latest cancer test came back negative. I am currently in Las Vegas, supposedly having a grand time, but I am not. I got food poisoning and spent all day yesterday in bed. At least when I wasn’t vomiting or had diarrhea. All dang day. By evening, I was so weak I could barely walk. The hotel called paramedics and they took me to the ER. I was there until 11:30 PM last night. Poor David. I felt so sorry for him. It was a horrible evening and I’m still weak this morning. I haven’t eaten anything since Tuesday evening . We’re supposed to fly home tomorrow. I sure hope I’m better than this by then. I got show tickets for last night with spectacular seats and David had to take them back and get our money back. At least we got to go to the national finals rodeo Tuesday night. That was so much fun! Today doesn’t look like much fun, though. I feel horrible. They did a lot of scans at the hospital. Showed a lot of scarring in my right lung, which...
2/9/26 today is Monday. We got home from Houston yesterday afternoon. I went to my appointment at MD Anderson this weekend and had an ultrasound. I will hear the final results from the doctor in a few days, but the ultrasound dude said all that he found was scar tissue. So, I’m going with that. We went to a Mardi Gras party Saturday night and saw a lot of old friends. It was fun. So far, I don’t have any appointments this week. I was driving down Walnut Hill Drive, which is just outside of our subdivision. The speed limit is 30 mph. I do not speed on that road. Ever. So, I’m cognizant of maintaining the correct speed. My car is equipped with a heads up display in the windshield. I love it because I don’t have to take my eyes off the road when I want to check my speed. So, I’m driving down Walnut Hill and looking at my heads up display to check my speed. I think it says I’m going 29 mph. However, when I glance again, I’m going 229 mph. That can’t be right. I glanced at...
Friday, June 12, 2026. I got my circulating tumor, DNA test, results back and they were negative! Time to celebrate! I won’t be tested for another six months. A week from Monday, I go to the dermatologist, because I have five suspicious spots on my head. Cross your fingers they turn out to be nothing. I started this blog 5 1/2 years ago, when I got sick. I only did it, so everyone could stay informed. I couldn’t remember who I told what to, so everyone could just go read it, or not. It worked well. I told a few people I was thinking of stopping it now, but I was heavily overruled. So, if I don’t have an update, I’m just gonna tell you a story. Actually, I have one now….. I was cleaning the double glass shower doors in our bathroom. I had already done the inside and was working on the outside. David walked in. David: are you cleaning the shower? I just looked at him. What I really wanted to say was, no, I’m just practicing. This is a dry run. But I didn’t. Me: yes, I am....
